Well here we are bringing the juried paintings to the Sedona Arts Center. It was a long drive up from Apache Junction and took over 3 hours with all the traffic and road work. But it was so uplifting to talk with the other artists and see all of the entries for the show. Several tourists wandered in to see what was going on and most of them had never seen pastel paintings before (at least not all in the same room at the same time. Donna Stenger, one of the pastel artists and a local pastel teacher in the Phoenix area is talking with two tourists on her right and Allan is on her left. They are all remarking on the wide range of subject matter and style of the pastel paintings displayed in the entries. After we dropped off the paintings we drove over to Cottonwood, had lunch, and proceeded to drive all the way back to Apache Junction. A very long day.
